ABC'S FOR LIFE | Black Restaurant Week Virtual Dinner Party
The culture has been delivered!
Tonight I’m having a virtual dinner courtesy of ABC Network, Black Restaurant Week and Escobar Atlanta in promotion of tonight’s premiere of #ForLifeABC at 10 PM EST.
Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the show stars Nicholas Pinnock, Joy Bryant and Dorian Missick and is a fictional serialized legal and family drama about an imprisoned man, Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock), which is inspired by the life of Isaac Wright Jr.
To celebrate the premiere of the new season, Black-owned restaurant owners and chefs from Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia invited select media to have dinner and a discussion about their successful careers after being formerly incarcerated. In addition, For Life talent discussed the new season with us. I received an amazing complimentary salmon dinner from Escobar, to enjoy for the evening.
Thanks ABC!
Series Description: Inspired by the life of Isaac Wright Jr., “For Life” is a fictional serialized legal and family drama about an imprisoned man, Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock), who becomes a lawyer litigating cases for other inmates while fighting to overturn his own life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. His quest for freedom is driven by his desperate desire to get back to the family he loves – his estranged wife (Joy Bryant) and daughter (Tyla Harris) – and reclaim the life that was stolen from him. “For Life” will also, through the window of his ferocious struggle and complicated relationship with a progressive female prison warden (Indira Varma), examine the flaws and challenges in our penal and legal systems.
