Yuh-Jung Youn is one of the most talked about actresses of the season, racking up dozens of awards and nominations from critics for her role as the straightforward grandmother Soon-ja in Oscar contender “Minari.”
Lee Isaac Chung wrote and directed MINARI, basing the film on his upbringing in rural Arkansas after his family immigrated from South Korea.
The film centers on the interpersonal relationships between husband-wife, father-son, mother-daughter, grandmother-grandchild, and everything in between.
