AAFCA Virtual Roundtable With Tichina Arnold
In the entertainment industry, we know the show must go on. Even in the midst of COVID-19, we’re focused on establishing some type of normalcy to overshadow what’s going worldwide in public health.
As an AACFA (African American Film Critics Association) member, I had a blast participating in our inaugural Virtual Roundtable Series. Our first guest was the hilarious Tichina Arnold. Her indie thriller Clover and Netflix's The Main Event are coming April 2020.
In Colver, two brothers owe money to the wrong guy at the wrong time. While they go on the run trying to pull together the money they become burdened with a teenage girl and hunted by assassins they don't know are following their every move.
In Netflix’s The Main Event, an 11-year-old aspiring wrestler enters a competition to become the next WWE superstar after discovering a magical mask.
Whether it’s Martin, Everybody Hates Chris, Survivor's Remorse or The Neighborhood, Tichina has been the stable in classics we love.
It was pretty cool to tell her I STILL watch Martin. In Clover she has some pretty dope skills handling her gun. Watch below to see what she had to say about that.
Thanks again AFFCA for the invite to join our inaugural Virtual Roundtable Sessions!
