My Quarantine Chat with NBC's Jocko Sims of 'New Amsterdam'

We’re all quarantined, but that didn’t stop me from catching up with NBC’s star and fan favorite, Jocko Sims of the hit medical drama, New  Amsterdam.

Jocko stars as Dr. Floyd Reynolds, a cardiologist. The internet went crazy when he eluded to possibly leaving.

Before New  Amsterdam, Jocko had roles in projects including "Dreamgirls," "Jarhead" and the 2014 summer box office smash "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes."

In his downtime he has recurred and/or guest-starred on several television series, including "Grey's Anatomy," "NCIS," "Burn Notice," "CSI," "Bones" and most recently on Showtime's "I'm Dying Up Here."

If you’ve never seen New Amsterdam, it’s not like the typical medical drama. In addition to family and steamy love lives, there’s a commitment to solve systemic health care issues at the hospital.

Watch our quarantine chat below as Jocko tells me how he’s spending his time (this brother can cook), his journey in acting, COVID-19, his future projects and deets on if he’s leaving the show or not…cause we need to know!

New Amsterdam returns Tuesday, April 14th on NBC, 9/8c. Thanks for the invite NBC.
